Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) has invited bids for a series of substation and transmission line projects in Raichur taluk and district, aimed at strengthening the region’s power infrastructure.
The proposed works include the establishment of a 2x160 MVA, 220/110 kV substation and a 1x10 MVA, 110/11 kV substation at Baidoddi (Arasigera), along with associated transmission lines and bays. Additional projects involve constructing 2x20 MVA, 110/11 kV substations at Ashapur Road, Amdihal, and Halapura (Joladarasi), including their respective transmission links across Raichur, Lingasugur, and Maski taluks.
The scope of work also covers the development of key transmission infrastructure, including a 220 kV double-circuit LILO line using Drake conductor from the existing Raichur–Jural line to the Baidoddi substation over 2.925 km, and a 110 kV multi-circuit line connecting the Baidoddi substation to the Wadavatti–Chikasugur line across 4.85 km. In addition, the project includes stringing a second circuit on existing double-circuit towers from the Matamari substation to a point on the Maliyabad–Yaragera line for a distance of 23.340 km.
The deadline for submission of bids has been set for 1 April 2026.
