The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has granted TP Saurya Ltd, a Tata Power subsidiary, approval to continue injecting and selling infirm power from the 100 MW solar segment of its 600 MW wind-solar hybrid project. This decision resolves a dispute with SECI, MPSEZ Utilities, and CESC over early electricity sales. While the 100 MW solar unit in Bikaner, Rajasthan, is ready, the 200 MW wind component faces delays due to postponed connectivity at the Gadag-II substation. Because the hybrid PPA prevents commercial operation declarations for standalone solar components, the CERC's waiver allows TP Saurya to sell this temporary power to third parties until partial hybrid commissioning is achieved.
