Powering Up: Hitachi Energy’s ₹1,000 Crore Bet on Tamil Nadu

Major growth is coming to Tamil Nadu's tech sector! Hitachi Energy, a Switzerland-based subsidiary of the Hitachi Group, has inked an MoU with the state's Department of Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce. The agreement outlines a ₹1,000 crore investment over the next three to five years to expand its Chennai Global Technology and Innovation Centre alongside its Chengalpattu manufacturing plant. This initiative is set to generate about 1,000 high-quality technology jobs, significantly boosting Tamil Nadu's position as a powerhouse for advanced engineering and industrial innovation.
