Taking Flight: Bharat Forge Joins Embraer’s Global Supply Chain

Bharat Forge Limited has secured a long-term contract with Embraer to manufacture and supply critical landing gear forgings, marking a key milestone for India’s aerospace manufacturing industry.

Under the agreement, Bharat Forge will supply high-integrity forged components for landing gear systems used across Embraer’s commercial and defence aircraft programmes. The deal makes Bharat Forge the first Indian supplier to become part of Embraer’s global aerospace supply chain for forged components.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Bharat Forge’s position in the global aerospace sector, particularly in the production of complex, safety-critical components. The company said the contract highlights its ability to meet stringent international aerospace certification standards while reinforcing a shared commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term collaboration.

Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director Amit B. Kalyani described the agreement as a significant achievement for the company and a recognition of the capabilities developed within its aerospace business. He added that the collaboration with Embraer is expected to expand Bharat Forge’s scale in structural aerospace components, complementing its existing presence in aero engine parts.

The agreement also aligns with Embraer’s broader strategy to deepen engagement with India’s aerospace ecosystem as the company expands its footprint in the country. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer has been increasing collaboration with Indian industry partners and stakeholders to strengthen its global supply chain network.
