Srichakra’s ₹425Cr Power Move in Plastic Recycling

Hyderabad-based Srichakra Polyplast has announced a capital expenditure plan of ₹425 crore to expand its food-grade recycled PET (rPET) capacity, as it targets ₹1,000 crore in revenue by FY27–28, according to company officials.

The expansion will raise its processing capacity from about 90,000 tonnes to over 113,000 tonnes by 2026, adding more than 23,000 tonnes. The investment is focused on strengthening its presence in the high-spec, food-grade recycling segment, which is seeing rising demand.

The company, which reported revenue of ₹227 crore in FY25, expects its turnover to nearly double to around ₹400 crore in FY26, supported by the upcoming capacity additions.

Instead of building a single large facility, Srichakra is following a distributed expansion approach. A significant share of the new capacity will come from its upcoming plant in Krishnagiri, while further expansion will be supported through its joint venture in Gujarat.

Its existing Telangana operations will remain the core processing hub. The company also plans to gradually extend its presence into eastern and northern India as part of its longer-term growth strategy.
