SRF to Invest ₹750 Crore in Major Expansion

SRF Ltd., a diversified chemical conglomerate, has announced plans to invest nearly ₹750 crore to expand its manufacturing footprint, with new facilities in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

The company’s Board approved the investments on July 23, aimed at addressing rising market demand and reinforcing SRF’s presence across its core business segments, which include fluorochemicals, specialty chemicals, performance films, technical textiles, and coated fabrics.

As part of this expansion, SRF will invest ₹250 crore to set up an agrochemical plant in Dahej, Gujarat, with an annual capacity of 12,000 tonnes to produce an agrochemical intermediate for the agricultural sector. The remaining investment will go toward establishing a BOPP film manufacturing facility in Indore, with further details to be disclosed soon.
