Shah Rukh Khan's Bandra Abode Gets a Grand Makeover ₹2,000 Crore

The Shree Amrit Society on Carter Road in Mumbai’s Bandra locality—home to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who owns a sea-facing terrace apartment there—is set for redevelopment by Sri Lotus Developers and Realty. As part of the project, residents will receive a 155% increase in living space after redevelopment.

Originally built in the 1980s, the society consists of 53 flats across three wings, located on a 4,000 sq. metre collector’s leasehold plot. Talks with developers began in July 2024, and residents are expected to vacate the premises within the next six to eight months. Construction is projected to take three years, with an additional six-month grace period.

The redevelopment spans a prime, sea-facing acre of land, with a total built-up area of six lakh sq. ft., and an estimated development value of ₹2,000 crore.
