Exicom Tele-Systems has inaugurated an integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad on March 16, 2026, marking a significant investment in India’s power electronics sector.
Built at a cost of ₹216 crore, the plant spans around 2.8 lakh square feet across 18.4 acres and is expected to create over 750 jobs. The facility will produce EV charging equipment, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions for applications such as electric mobility, telecom networks, data centres, and other infrastructure requiring reliable power supply.
In its first phase, the unit will expand Exicom’s production capacity by 2.5 times, with provisions for future scaling. The plant is designed around Industry 4.0 principles, integrating automation, robotics, and digital traceability to enable precision manufacturing. It also includes an ISO 8 cleanroom for advanced power electronics assembly along with specialised testing infrastructure.
Additionally, Exicom plans to set up India’s first EV charger interoperability testing centre at the facility and manufacture Tritium’s TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules, further strengthening domestic capabilities in EV charging technology.
