Envision Energy India has secured a 300 MW order from UPC Renewables India for the supply of 60 wind turbine generators (WTGs) based on its EN 182 | 5 MW platform.
The turbines will be installed in upcoming wind projects in Bijapur, Karnataka, a region known for favourable monsoonal wind patterns and terrain. Envision’s high-performance 5 MW turbines feature a 182-m rotor diameter and 140-m hub height, optimized for Indian wind conditions. They are expected to generate around 900 million units of renewable energy annually. The first 20 WTGs (100 MW) will be delivered in early 2026 for a project under a power delivery agreement with SJVN.
According to Envision Energy India, the EN 182 | 5 MW platform delivers over 40% higher energy output than earlier models, offering one of the lowest levelised costs of energy in its class.
