SR Mining has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a key mining contract awarded by Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals Ltd. (RSMML), marking a significant development in the state’s mining sector.
The contract pertains to the Sonari Lignite Mines in Barmer district, Rajasthan, and involves the hiring of heavy earthmoving equipment for the removal of overburden, as well as the raising, loading, and transportation of saleable lignite, along with associated operations.
The scope of work includes the deployment of advanced mining machinery to carry out excavation, material handling, and efficient transport of lignite from the mine to designated stockyards or dispatch points. Overburden removal—essential for accessing lignite seams—is a critical component of the contract and must be managed in an environmentally compliant and operationally efficient manner to ensure uninterrupted mining activity.
By securing this contract, SR Mining has further solidified its presence in Rajasthan’s mining landscape, contributing to the state’s energy security and supporting a robust raw material supply chain for industrial use.
