A state-of-the-art data centre dedicated to the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in e-governance and digital inclusion will soon be established in Jaipur, reinforcing the Rajasthan government’s push for technology-driven innovation and growth.
The announcement was made by Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw at the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Conference 2026, held as part of the Rajasthan DigiFest TiE Global Summit. The minister highlighted India’s expanding technological capabilities, noting that the country ranks third globally in AI competitiveness, as per the Stanford University Global AI Vibrancy Index 2025. He also noted that a newly launched AI training programme is benefiting a large number of youth in Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that the state’s AI and Machine Learning Policy aims to improve public service delivery, enhance transparency, and promote citizen-centric governance. The policy includes plans to establish an AI Centre of Excellence and to expand AI education and skill development initiatives for young people across the state.
