Powering Up India: Waaree Awarded 1218 MW Solar Megaproject

Waaree Renewable Technologies has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for the execution of a large-scale solar power project with a capacity of 870 MWac / 1218 MWp.

The contract includes the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant, along with the development of a 33kV/400kV substation and associated transmission infrastructure for efficient power evacuation and grid integration. Additionally, the scope covers two years of operation and maintenance (O&M) to ensure optimal plant performance post-commissioning.

Awarded by Waaree Forever Energies, this project further strengthens Waaree’s renewable energy portfolio and underscores its leadership in India’s solar sector. It highlights the company’s technical strength, project execution capabilities, and long-term commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions.

The project also aligns with India’s national renewable energy goals, contributing to the transition toward cleaner power generation.
