Powering Gujarat: GUVNL Secures 164.4 MW Deal with NEEPCO

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has entered into a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC. Effective 26 October 2026, the agreement schedules the supply of 164.4 MW of electricity to Gujarat from NEEPCO’s Assam Gas-Based Power Station (AGBPS). This inter-state arrangement optimizes regional power allocation, enhances grid distribution, and helps meet Gujarat's growing power demand.
