IndiGrid and EnerGrid, via Rajasthan BESS (RBPL), have commissioned a 250 MW / 500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Bhadla, Rajasthan. Built to strengthen grid flexibility and manage peak power demand, the project integrates large-scale renewables into the regional grid. Originally tendered by NVVN in June 2024 for 1 GWh with VGF support, IndiGrid secured 500 MWh in October 2024 at ~₹2.37 lakh/MW/month. The facility was implemented in partnership with AmpereHour Energy as the technology provider, building on IndiGrid’s previous BESS footprints in Delhi and Gujarat.
