NHAI’s Triple Play: 3 New Hubs for the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway

As the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway nears completion, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has stepped up work on associated infrastructure, including the development of three parking hubs along the Delhi stretch of the corridor.

NHAI has floated tenders for the project, under which the parking hubs will be equipped with facilities such as electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, restaurants, and public toilets. The hubs will be located between Akshardham and the Loni Border, specifically at Lalita Park, Geeta Colony, and Gandhi Nagar—areas known for high commercial activity and frequent inflow of visitors from outside the city.

The parking hubs are expected to ease traffic congestion on the expressway and improve overall traffic management. They will feature modern systems such as digital entry and exit, cashless payment options, and round-the-clock surveillance to ensure safety and transparency, according to NHAI officials. Additional amenities, including clean restrooms, food kiosks, ATMs, first-aid rooms, and basic vehicle repair services, will be provided to enhance commuter convenience while supporting local businesses.
