New Rail Line: $296 Crore Tender Near AP Border

South Western Railway has invited bids for the construction of a 19.057 km broad-gauge railway line between Maluguru and Palasamudram, located near the Andhra Pradesh border.

The project involves laying new tracks from chainage (-)1906.6 (CH: 108125 of YNK–PKD section) to chainage 17/150. It includes the development of two new railway yards at Chalivendala and Palasamudram, along with modifications to the existing Maluguru yard. The scope also covers the installation of signaling and telecommunication systems, in addition to civil works.

Estimated at ₹296.21 crore, the project is part of a broader initiative to enhance rail connectivity and operational efficiency in the region.

Interested bidders must submit their applications by 20 November 2025.
