Munching on Growth: Nestlé’s ₹225 Crore Bet on Gujarat

Nestlé India has announced an expansion of its manufacturing capacity at its Sanand facility in Gujarat, investing ₹225 crore to set up a new production line for its chocolate brand Munch.

According to a regulatory filing, the investment—funded through internal accruals—will add an estimated capacity of around 8,300 tonnes per annum. The new production line has already been installed as part of the company’s broader capital expenditure plan, which includes both greenfield and brownfield projects aimed at meeting future demand.

The company also noted that Munch is produced across multiple facilities within its network, with the Sanand expansion playing a key role in its overall capacity augmentation strategy.
