Gurugram-based Modern Automotives, a key supplier of powertrain, suspension, and chassis components to OEMs across two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles, is aiming for a 25% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) by FY2031. As part of its strategy to evolve into a systems integrator, the company has recently begun manufacturing front fork assemblies for scooters and motorcycles—enhancing the value of its product offerings.
To strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, Modern Automotives is establishing a cold-forming facility at its flagship plant in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. The new unit will produce cold-formed splined shafts, toothed gears, heat sinks, and deep-extruded transmission shafts, catering to the automotive, aerospace, defence, electronics, and thermal engineering sectors. The company also plans to scale up its forging capacity from 36,000 tonnes to 60,000 tonnes by FY2031.
In a major export milestone, Modern Automotives has secured a ₹150 crore order from BMW Germany to supply 2.5 million differential pinion shafts for electric vehicle (EV) powertrains by 2034.
