Menakshi Con Bags ₹380.64 Cr Mining Contract

Menakshi Con has secured a contract worth Rs 380.64 crore for the removal of overburden (hard OB) material at the Kolarpimpri expansion opencast mine in the Wani North Area of Maharashtra.

The project involves the deployment of heavy earthmoving machinery (HEMM), including excavators, tippers, drills, dozers, graders, and water sprinklers, to carry out integrated mining operations. The scope of work includes drilling, excavation, loading, transportation, dumping, spreading, dozing, and grading activities to support coal extraction and improve mine productivity.

The contract highlights the growing reliance on specialised mining contractors with mechanised equipment capabilities to improve efficiency and minimise operational bottlenecks in large-scale mining projects. The use of advanced mechanised solutions is expected to enhance excavation speed, operational safety, and overall cost efficiency at the mine.

The project further strengthens the company’s role in supporting India’s coal mining infrastructure through large-scale mechanised mining operations across major coal-producing regions.
