IPL Biologicals has inaugurated its third biological manufacturing facility in Vadodara with an investment of Rs 200 crore, increasing its total production capacity to 7,000 kilolitres annually.
Spread across 12 acres with a built-up area of nearly 2,00,000 square feet, the new plant will manufacture biofertilisers, biopesticides, and crop health products. The facility features automated harvesting and transfer systems to improve operational efficiency and includes sustainability-focused infrastructure such as a zero liquid discharge system and a captive solar power generation capacity of 500 kilowatts.
The facility is certified under ISO 9001:2015 and has obtained multiple organic certifications, including IMO, Indocert, and OMRI, enabling compliance with domestic and international organic farming standards. The expansion supports the government’s broader objective of reducing chemical fertiliser usage and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
According to the company, the current phase represents part of a larger expansion strategy, with an additional investment of Rs 210 crore planned in the next phase. IPL Biologicals reported a 40 percent rise in turnover to Rs 290 crore in FY 2025–26 and is aiming to strengthen its presence across India and international markets.
The Vadodara facility is expected to cater to demand from central and southern India while also supporting exports. As part of its global expansion strategy, the company plans product registrations in 15 countries.
