Among the major projects reviewed were the expansion of more than 1,300 km of railway tracks and the redevelopment of over 50 stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of a robust rail network in supporting economic growth, improving freight transportation, and enhancing connectivity within Assam and the broader Northeast region. The ongoing upgrades are expected to improve passenger experience, increase logistical efficiency, and strengthen the state's integration with the national transportation network.
