Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ has confirmed that the Noida International Airport in Jewar will be fully completed by November 2025, bringing an end to years of delays.
Following a review meeting with officials from the Yamuna Industrial Expressway Development Authority (YIEDA), the Minister stated,
“We have worked on it for eight years, and it will now be completely ready by November.”
He further claimed that the facility will be “the fourth-largest airport in the world and the largest in Asia.”
Originally scheduled for inauguration on September 29, 2024, the project has faced multiple delays, missing revised targets in April and June 2025.
On a two-day site visit to assess infrastructure progress, the Minister also highlighted improved law and order under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which he said has contributed to increased multinational investment in the state.
The first phase, involving an investment of ₹10,056 crore, is designed to handle 12 million passengers annually. The project’s total cost is pegged at ₹29,650 crore, to be executed in four phases, with full completion targeted by 2040.
