InSolare Energy Goes Green: A ₹3,700 Cr Milestone for Green Ammonia

InSolare Energy, in consortium with SCC Infrastructure, has signed Green Ammonia Purchase Agreements (GAPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the supply of 85,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of green ammonia.

With a total investment of approximately ₹3,700 crore, the projects mark a significant step in advancing India’s clean energy transition under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The agreements are being executed through special purpose vehicles (SPVs) across two projects, ensuring long-term supply to fertiliser companies under SECI’s demand aggregation framework.

Of the total contracted capacity, 70,000 MTPA will be supplied to Madhya Bharat Agro Products Limited in Dhule, Maharashtra, while 15,000 MTPA will be delivered to Paradeep Phosphates in Mangalore, Karnataka, over a 10-year period.

The Dhule project achieved a tariff of ₹53.05 per kg, while the Mangalore project was secured at ₹57.65 per kg under SECI’s SIGHT Scheme auctions. Backed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the Department of Fertilizers, the initiative aims to enable efficient price discovery and accelerate the adoption of green ammonia across India.
