Sterling Gtake E-Mobility (SGEM), a subsidiary of Sterling Tools, has partnered with Chinese company Landworld Technology to manufacture key electric vehicle (EV) components—onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, and power distribution units—locally in India.
Production will be carried out at SGEM’s EV campus in Faridabad under a technology licensing and supply agreement. The company expects this partnership to generate ₹450 crore in business by FY2030, within a market projected to reach ₹3,000 crore during the same period.
These components are critical to EV functionality: onboard chargers manage AC charging by regulating voltage and current, while DC/DC converters ensure efficient power delivery from the battery to auxiliary systems.
The collaboration is part of SGEM’s broader strategy to reduce import reliance, strengthen India's EV supply chain, and expand its product offerings beyond motor control units and powertrain solutions. SGEM Chairman Anil Aggarwal stated that the move deepens the company’s expertise in EV power electronics. Lin Chen, Vice General Manager of Landworld, noted India’s growing role as a major EV market.
