Hindustan Power Lights Up Lalitpur with New 435 MWp Solar Venture

Hindustan Power has started construction of a 435 MWp solar power project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. Awarded in April 2025 by the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) through a competitive bidding process, the project will provide clean energy to the state over the next 25 years, significantly advancing its renewable energy goals.

In its official announcement, the company highlighted the project’s contribution to long-term sustainability, regional development, and employment generation. While financial details such as project cost and power tariff were not disclosed, the initiative underscores Hindustan Power’s commitment to expanding its clean energy portfolio.

As one of India’s leading integrated power generation companies, Hindustan Power continues to grow its presence in both renewable and transitional energy sectors. The Lalitpur project supports India’s national renewable energy targets and aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s clean energy roadmap.
