Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has won two major contracts from the Patna Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (PMRCL) for Phase I of the Patna Metro Rail Project, with a combined value of approximately ₹2,565.81 crore.
The contracts involve the design and construction of 10.67 km of underground tunnels using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), along with six underground metro stations on the Danapur–Khemnichak corridor.
Package PC-05 includes twin tunnels, a cut-and-cover section, an underground ramp at Mithapur, and stations at Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, and Patna Station.
Package PC-06 covers an underground ramp at Rukanpura and stations at Rukanpura, Raja Bazar, and Patna Zoo.
Both packages also include architectural finishing, water supply, sanitation, and drainage works.
These wins further strengthen HCC’s leadership in metro infrastructure, adding to its portfolio of ongoing projects in Mumbai, Indore, and Chennai, and building on its legacy of delivering metro systems in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
