Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has secured a contract worth ₹1,662.27 crore from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for Phase IV of the Goregaon–Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project. The work will be carried out through the Aakshya–HCC Joint Venture, in which HCC holds a 49% stake.
The project is divided into two key phases. Phase I includes the construction of a 1,330-metre second-level flyover, 3,200 metres of at-grade road, and 2,620 metres of free-left at-grade lanes. Phase II involves building a cloverleaf interchange with a total loop and interchange length of 2,400 metres, along with 3,600 metres of free-left bypasses. The scope also features a 180-metre cable-stayed span and ramps extending 270 metres.
Part of the larger GMLR corridor, this project is designed to strengthen east–west connectivity in Mumbai, ease traffic congestion, and improve overall traffic flow. It is expected to play a vital role in enhancing urban mobility and supporting the city’s long-term infrastructure development plans.
