During his visit to Deogarh on June 3, 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 15 key development projects worth approximately Rs 205 crore.
A major milestone of the visit was the inauguration of a newly constructed 300-bed District Headquarters Hospital, which is set to greatly improve healthcare services for residents of the region.
Addressing a public gathering, CM Majhi emphasized Deogarh’s potential for growth, stating, “Deogarh district has immense potential for growth, and our government is determined to harness this strength. Our goal is to transform Deogarh into a model district of progress and prosperity.” He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to balanced regional development, highlighting that equitable growth across all 30 districts of Odisha has been a central focus since the beginning of his tenure.
As part of broader welfare initiatives, the Chief Minister also announced a Rs 41.17 crore package benefiting nearly nine lakh kendu leaf pluckers and binders across the state.
