Craftsman’s ₹250 Cr Expansion: A Strategic Leap into Hosur

Craftsman Automation, a leading manufacturer of powertrain components and aluminium casting products, has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The project represents a total investment of ₹250 crore designed to scale operations and support rising demand from automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

To be executed in two distinct phases—₹100 crore in Phase 1 and ₹150 crore in Phase 2—the proposed facility is scheduled to become operational within six to eight months.

Driven by an 85% capacity utilization rate across its existing South Indian facilities, the strategic choice of Hosur brings Craftsman Automation closer to key two-wheeler and passenger vehicle clients. The near-customer footprint will optimize supply chain logistics, heighten operational agility, and solidify the company’s position in India’s expanding automotive manufacturing sector.
