Century Plyboards Opens India's Largest Particle Board Plant

Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. has commissioned India’s largest particle board manufacturing facility at Therovy Kandigai near Chennai, reinforcing its leadership in the wood panel industry and advancing its growth strategy.

While investment details remain undisclosed, the state-of-the-art plant boasts an annual production capacity of 800 cubic meters, making it the largest single particle board unit in the country. The new facility is designed to meet rising domestic and international demand for high-quality engineered wood panels.

Setting new benchmarks in automation, scale, and quality, the plant also underscores Century Plyboards’ commitment to socio-economic impact—creating over 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities in the region.

Aligned with the company’s sustainability goals, the facility incorporates eco-friendly raw materials, energy-efficient technologies, and advanced water conservation systems to minimize environmental impact.
