The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (BMC) has officially floated a tender for the construction of a raw water conveyance system in Maharashtra. The primary scope of the project includes constructing a ~7.2 km raw water tunnel connecting Pise to Panjrapur using a full-face rock Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). Additional works encompass allied tunneling infrastructure, chambers, valves, dismantling joints, and the fabrication and installation of steel pipes and specialized fittings for seamless integration with Mumbai’s existing water supply network.
