Kerala Road Infrastructure Gets ₹988 Crore Central Sanction

The Central Government has approved ₹988.75 crore under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for 39 road development projects across Kerala, covering a total distance of 486.33 km.

Kerala Public Works Minister P. K. Basheer confirmed that the state government has already granted administrative sanctions for all 39 projects. Construction is slated to begin in December upon finalising the remaining technical and financial clearances. The approved works encompass major district roads, ordinary district roads, and corporation roads, all of which will be upgraded to National Highway standards to enhance statewide connectivity and transportation infrastructure.
