West Bengal BJP chief Samik Bhattacharya has appealed to the state government to apply for the Centre’s newly approved BHAVYA Rasayan Scheme to set up a world-class chemical park. Under the scheme—announced in Budget 2026–27—the Centre will provide up to ₹1,000 crore in grant funding, matched by ₹500 crore from the host state, to build three dedicated industrial hubs across India.
If selected, the project will accelerate economic growth across eastern India, attract foreign and domestic private capital, strengthen regional supply chains, and create thousands of jobs across manufacturing, logistics, and MSME sectors.
