Aster Expands: ₹1,900 Cr for India Healthcare

Aster DM Healthcare has unveiled a ₹1,900 crore capital expenditure plan to expand its hospital network across India, targeting a total bed capacity of 13,600 by FY27. This ambitious growth strategy follows the merger with Quality Care India Ltd. (QCIL), creating a unified healthcare powerhouse focused on enhanced operational efficiency and patient care. Of the total ₹1,878 crore planned capex, ₹323 crore has already been deployed in FY25.

The expansion will add 3,300 beds organically—2,100 by Aster and 1,200 by QCIL. In Bengaluru, 939 new beds will be introduced, including a state-of-the-art hospital on Sarjapur Road, positioning Aster among the city's top three healthcare providers. Kerala will see 818 new beds through two greenfield projects: a 264-bed hospital in Kasargod and a 454-bed facility in Trivandrum. Additionally, a 300-bed women and children's hospital is planned in Hyderabad.

Aster continues to advance in clinical excellence, particularly in oncology, with a focus on robotic-assisted surgeries using cutting-edge platforms like the Da Vinci Robot and SSI Mantra. In FY25, the Group performed 1,865 robotic surgeries and 575 organ transplants, reinforcing its position at the forefront of innovative, high-quality care in India.
