Assam’s Industrial Milestone: ₹250 Cr Tile Facility Opens in Sonitpur

Northeast India has officially inaugurated its first state-of-the-art tile manufacturing facility in Jamugurihat, located within Assam's Sonitpur district.

Operated by Allemby Ceramic and established with a significant investment of 250 crore, this landmark industrial plant is expected to generate over 1,325 jobs, boosting local talent and strengthening Assam's manufacturing sector. With a daily production capacity of one lakh square meters, the facility stands as eastern India's premier glazed vitrified tile manufacturing unit, significantly enhancing the region's industrial infrastructure.

In a parallel push for regional economic growth, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also inaugurated a dairy processing project at the Kanyaka Marketing Complex in Shantipur, developed under the Chief Minister's Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana.
