Artillery Shell Capacity to Double: Sunita Tools Expands

Sunita Tools, a leading mould base manufacturer and growing force in the defence sector, has acquired a second factory building in Faridabad as part of its expansion strategy.

The new facility will house Line 2 for artillery shell manufacturing. The company has already taken possession of the building, with installation of critical machinery set to begin soon. Commercial production is targeted for October 2026, subject to the timely delivery of three key hydraulic presses. This expansion represents a significant step in Sunita Tools’ defence manufacturing roadmap, aimed at boosting capacity and strengthening its foothold in the sector.

“This new facility marks an important milestone in our journey toward becoming a major player in defence manufacturing,” a company spokesperson said.
