AP Secures Tech Titans to Power 6,000 MW Data Centre Vision

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has constituted a Data Centre Advisory Council to accelerate the state’s vision of becoming India’s digital infrastructure hub.

According to G.O. 46, the Council will steer the roadmap to achieve a 6,000 MW data centre capacity by 2030. It brings together leading industry stakeholders, including Microsoft Azure, Google, Schneider Electric, and Jio Platforms, among others. The Council will focus on key areas such as renewable energy integration, fibre connectivity, talent development, cybersecurity, and global investment facilitation.

The initiative is expected to generate employment, attract significant investment, and position Visakhapatnam as a flagship destination for AI-driven data infrastructure. To ensure effective implementation, the Council will function through specialised sub-committees and task forces dedicated to various aspects of project execution.
