AP on the Rise: ₹19,391 Cr Investment Approved!

The 14th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting, chaired by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has approved investment proposals worth ₹19,391 crore across 14 projects, with the potential to generate employment for 11,753 youth.

With these approvals, the total investment cleared by the SIPB has reached ₹8.74 lakh crore, expected to create jobs for around 8.35 lakh people. The Chief Minister praised the efforts of the investment promotion team for attracting substantial investments throughout 2025 and urged them to sustain the momentum in 2026.

Highlighting developments in the power sector, Naidu noted that the state government absorbed ₹4,500 crore in true-up charges without passing the burden on to consumers, while also reducing power tariffs by 13 paise per unit. He set a target to procure power at ₹3.70 per unit by 2029.

CM Naidu also emphasised the importance of expanding tourism—particularly beach tourism—and promoting food processing units, with a focus on strengthening infrastructure and facilities for farmers. Additionally, he proposed the development of a space city over 5,000 acres at Makavarapalem.
