Andhra Pradesh Becomes PCB Hub with ₹856 Crore Investment

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved an incentive package worth ₹856 crore for the establishment of India’s largest printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility. The project is a joint venture between leading electronics manufacturer Syrma SGS and South Korea-based Shinhyup Electronics.

Approved by the state Cabinet under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the ₹1,595 crore project will be located in the Naidupeta industrial area, near Chennai. The state will allocate 12.56 acres of land at a 75% subsidised rate, supporting the venture under a 51:49 equity structure between Syrma SGS and Shinhyup.

Slated for commissioning in October 2026, the facility is projected to add ₹6,200 crore to Syrma SGS’s topline in FY27. It will manufacture single- and multi-layer PCBs, HDI/flex PCBs, copper clad laminates (CCL), and provide electronics manufacturing services (EMS). The plant will cater to high-growth sectors such as healthcare, automotive, electric mobility, and smart devices, furthering India’s ambition to become a global electronics manufacturing hub.

Syrma SGS, with a turnover of ₹3,836 crore in FY25 and a market capitalisation close to USD 2 billion, currently operates 14 manufacturing facilities and employs over 9,000 people.
