Blue Cloud Softech Solutions (BCSSL) has signed a technology ownership transfer (ToT) agreement worth USD 150 million with an Israel-based technology firm to co-develop advanced Edge-AI chips.
The partnership focuses on enhancing AIoT and industrial automation applications through next-generation semiconductor innovation. The agreement includes a five-year strategic investment plan for technology integration, product development, and the establishment of semiconductor manufacturing facilities in India. Under the terms of the deal, BCSSL will own and develop the software stack, while the Israeli partner will contribute the core hardware design. This collaboration supports India’s semiconductor self-reliance goals under the ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative.
The new Edge-AI chip platform will enable real-time intelligence and secure data processing at the network edge — vital for autonomous industrial, defence, and smart infrastructure solutions. The initiative also deepens BCSSL’s collaboration with Byte Eclipse and includes plans to scale domestic semiconductor production to meet growing global demand.
