Accenture has submitted a proposal to the Andhra Pradesh government to establish a new campus in Visakhapatnam, requesting approximately 10 acres of land for the project.
The proposed expansion aims to create around 12,000 jobs, aligning with the state’s broader strategy to attract major IT firms and drive regional development. This move follows similar investments by companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Cognizant, both of which have recently secured land leases in the region under Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies.
The state government has expressed strong interest in facilitating the proposal, citing its potential to boost employment and economic activity in the region. Although the total investment figure has not been disclosed, the project is expected to play a key role in the growing shift of IT operations to Tier-2 cities—driven by lower operational costs and efforts to decentralise urban growth.
