A New Chapter for Kamathipura: Modern Living Meets Rich Heritage

Mumbai's historic Kamathipura precinct is on the brink of a major transformation. MHADA has officially signed an agreement with a consortium to spearhead a 34-acre cluster redevelopment project. While the initiative promises modern infrastructure, improved safety, and upgraded living conditions for residents, it also thoughtfully incorporates 14 religious sites and two municipal schools into the blueprint. With the draft master plan slated for a mid-October submission and construction on the horizon, this project marks a monumental step in balancing urban renewal with historical preservation.
