CleanMax, a leading renewable energy company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Toyota Tsusho India to jointly develop 300 MW of renewable energy capacity across India by 2028. The collaboration is aimed at delivering customized green energy solutions to Japanese corporations operating in the country, according to a joint statement.
The partnership will offer a broad portfolio of sustainable energy options, including rooftop solar installations, ground-mounted solar and wind projects, wind-solar hybrid systems, and carbon credit solutions. These services are designed to address diverse energy needs while supporting corporate decarbonization goals.
Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director of CleanMax, said, “This partnership reinforces CleanMax’s strategy of global collaboration to help corporations lower their carbon footprint, while enabling us to scale operations in a capital-efficient manner.”
CleanMax, backed by Brookfield, is a key player in India’s commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy segment, with a total operating, owned, and managed capacity of 2.2 GW across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia as of March 31, 2025.
Toyota Tsusho India, a subsidiary of the Toyota Tsusho Group, operates in seven major business sectors, including green infrastructure, metals, mobility, and the circular economy.
