Waaree’s Big Leap: 20 GW Solar Milestone Achieved

Waaree Energies has further solidified its position as one of India’s leading solar manufacturers with the recent expansion of its listing under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).

As per the latest notification from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Waaree’s Chikhli (Gujarat) facility now has an ALMM-approved capacity of 16.444 GW. This brings the company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity in India to 20.17 GW, including its partnership with Indosolar. The updated ALMM listing also features new high-efficiency modules—G12R TOPCon, G12 TOPCon, and G12 HJT—produced at Waaree’s SG Chikhli plant, expanding its product portfolio to support utility-scale, commercial, and rooftop solar projects nationwide.

As India works toward achieving its 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target by 2030, domestic manufacturing plays a critical role in ensuring energy security, cost competitiveness, and quality standards. Waaree remains committed to advancing solar technology to drive India’s renewable energy ambitions.
