Waaree Energies, India’s leading solar PV module manufacturer, has signed and executed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) and the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) for the supply of 150 MW of solar power.
This agreement represents a major milestone in advancing India’s renewable energy capacity and supports the decarbonisation efforts of key consumers, including Indian Railways. The project forms part of the inter-state transmission system (ISTS), enabling the efficient generation and distribution of clean energy across multiple regions.
The solar power generated will be delivered to both MPPMCL and Indian Railways, reinforcing India’s commitment to reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and achieving its renewable energy targets. Waaree Energies currently holds the largest installed capacity in India, with 15 GW of solar PV modules and 5.4 GW of solar cells.
