Adani Green Energy Sixty Nine (AGE69L), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine under Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL), has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) for the supply of 400 MW of solar power.
The power will be generated from a photovoltaic facility to be developed in Rajasthan, expected to be commissioned by June 2027. This strategic agreement supports Uttar Pradesh’s push toward affordable, renewable energy. The state currently sources around 3,200 MW from solar, including 2,700 MW from utility-scale projects and 500 MW from rooftop installations.
Uttar Pradesh aims to achieve 22,000 MW of solar capacity by 2026–27, and this new addition will contribute toward that goal. The project’s competitive tariff of ₹2.57 per unit ensures long-term cost-effective and clean energy for the state.
This partnership aligns with the central government’s focus on accelerating renewable energy adoption and represents a significant step in India’s transition to sustainable power generation.
