Acme Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 75 MW of renewable energy at its Sikar Solar project in Rajasthan, increasing the project's operational capacity to 240 MW out of a planned 300 MW.
With this addition, Acme Solar’s total commissioned renewable capacity now stands at 2,806.4 MW. Located across 1,300 acres in Bikaner—one of India’s highest solar irradiation zones—the Sikar project underscores Acme’s commitment to advancing the country’s green energy goals. Financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC), the project is expected to generate approximately 780 million units of clean electricity annually once fully operational.
Power from the site is collected at inverter stations and transmitted via a dedicated 220 kV single-circuit line to the Bikaner-II grid substation.
“The Sikar project is a key milestone in Acme’s strategy to support India’s clean energy transition,” the company stated. The full 300 MW capacity was awarded under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit. While the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is pending finalization, the 240 MW currently in operation is supplying power to the merchant market via energy exchanges.
