JSW Renew Energy, a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai to supply 250 MW of wind energy. The project, located in Maharashtra, is expected to be commissioned within 24 months, with an agreed tariff of ₹3.65 per kWh.
Simultaneously, JSW Energy has commissioned 281 MW of new renewable capacity, comprising 215 MW solar and 66 MW wind. This brings its total installed capacity to 12,499 MW, with renewables now representing 55% of the portfolio. The company's renewable assets include 1,968 MW solar, 3,482 MW wind, and 1,391 MW hydro.
JSW is also expanding its energy storage capabilities, currently holding 26.4 GWh in hydro pumped storage and 2.9 GWh in battery energy storage. It aims to reach 40 GWh of total storage capacity by 2030, underscoring its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
