NCRTC Goes Green: Tenders for 110 MW Solar Plant

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has issued a tender to select a solar power developer for setting up a 110 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Uttar Pradesh under the captive mode.

The project is to be commissioned within 18 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Designed to supply reliable renewable energy for NCRTC’s operational needs, including the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) network, the initiative aims to lower operational costs and significantly reduce carbon emissions.

The solar facility will incorporate advanced PV technology to maximise efficiency and optimise land usage. It forms part of NCRTC’s broader strategy to enhance sustainability, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and support India’s national clean energy targets.

The last date for bid submission is 25 September, 2025.
