Patna Metro has received a significant financial boost, with ₹628.32 crore sanctioned under the Centre’s Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment for FY2026-27. The funding will support ongoing construction and help ensure timely progress of the urban transport project.
According to the Urban Development and Housing Department, the sanctioned amount will be routed through Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) and used for key project-related works.
The additional assistance is expected to strengthen construction activities and maintain momentum on the Patna Metro project. The Centre’s capital investment support is aimed at accelerating infrastructure development and enabling states to advance major projects with long-term economic and urban mobility benefits.
